How I became a designer and digital marketer
Today, I have more than 20 years of experience in marketing and communication as a graphic designer, copywriter, photographer and videographer.
I've always communicated through visual storytelling. I started reading and drawing before I could walk, so you guessed it - I haven't always been the most sporty type. But in my head I can do cartwheels, which is why I went to Wales to study art more than 20 years ago.
While I was still a third-year student, I was offered a job in the design agency Icon Creative Design, under the direction of owner and designer Androulla Webb, which I accepted.
When I was ready to go back home to Norway, I joined the successful startup Kaleidoskopet, which during my time there was acquired by the publisher H. Aschehoug & Co.
After many twists and turns, an inner journey and starting a family, my husband and I took the plunge and started our own company. Mariken & Martin Media. Or MMM in the vernacular.
As a couple, Martin and I already share basic core values and strive to grow at all levels, contributing positively to the world by sharing our experiences.
