GE Holding is the parent company in the GE Group and manages the companies GE Produksjon, GE Fornybar, GE Fiber and Vevig .
Gudbrandsdal Energi's history dates back to 1916, when AS Nordre Fron was established. Since then, many small power companies have merged and today GE covers an area that extends from Sandbumoen in the north to Lillehammer in the south. The GE Group currently works with both distribution of electricity, production of electricity through hydropower and wind power, as well as fiber.
Gudbrandsdal Energi Holding is owned by Ringebu municipality , Øyer municipality , Nord-Fron municipality and Sør-Fron municipality . The profit from the operation thus goes straight back to the inhabitants' municipalities and creates better services and better living and upbringing conditions. In addition, the Gudbrandsdal Energi Group takes environmental responsibility and is a contributor to Norway becoming the world's first all-electric society. They work for well-being and well-being in the owner municipalities, and support activities specifically aimed at children and young people.
